Kawsaki Gel Seat

I was wondering about the Kawaski gel seat? Is it a major improvement in the seat. I found it on line for $211 which sounds like a fairly good discount. I had a Gel Seat on a 650 Suzuki and it was very good. So I was wondering what others have found with the Kawi Seat??

Hi blackie, Just to let you know, I have a Kawasaki Gel seat on my 900 classic. It is comfort in the best way. Ride for hours and miles just roll up with out the numb rump and soar hips. Love that seat a lot.

It's a great improvement for the price. You sit a little further back in this seat. After installing it my arms were extended in a locked elbow mode and that was tiring. I'm 5'-7" tall with 32" sleeve length. Added Phat II handlebar risers (no, you don't need to extend the cables or do anything difficult) to get it all comfortable. I like the looks of the stock seat better, but the ride of the gel seat is superior.

Talked my dealer down just under $200 for mine. huge improvement over the stock seat.

The Kawa gel seat is a huge improvement over the leather-wrapped brick that comes from the factory. As much as I like the chrome bling I've put on, the seat was by far the best investment I've made.

I'll recommend that Gel Seat!! I got one last year. With the old seat I could only go 25 to 30 minutes. With the gel seat I can go fill-up to fill-up (200 miles) and still walk afterwards. What a great seat!!

I'd love to let you know.I ordered & payed for mine on July 3rd 07 from RonAyers.com & the latest e-mail from them says sometime in April 08. What a fly by night outfit. Stay away from them. When I ordered it, they said in stock & 2 week delivery. They suck.

Man, that's completly unacceptable. If you purchased with a credit card just inform the card company that the product was never delivered.

I bought my Gel on ebay for $168 .. nobody else bid on it. It is a big improvement over the stock seat. Especially the passenger pad .. which flares out from the base and provides a much larger seat. I used an Air Hawk on the stock seat but that isn't necessary anymore.

I have a gel on my '04 nomad and I really like it. Mines not quite as wide as the original but fits me fine.

The Kaw seat is made by Saddlemen.
