    Default V&H Classic II's 1500 Classic - No quiet baffles :( BOO!`

So i've got the Vance and Hines Classic II's on my 03 Vn1500 Classic. They're nice. They're loud (which I like but sometimes a bit too loud..) but they lack .. tone. They sound hollow, and that annoys me sometimes.

I sent off a feeler to Vance and Hines, only to find out that they do not make a quiet baffle for this pipe at all, and that there are not any in planning or in the works, and that I was basically up **** creek.

Can't really afford to go to another pipe, and stockers are OOTQ, damned goats bladder is an eyesore, got rid of them as soon as I got the bike.

Any suggestions? What about changing the fiberglass packing around the baffles to some stainless steel packing? Will that help?

You might try repacking the baffles. Or you could try to make your own quiet baffle ala Gadgets directions.

Personally, I got tired of the noise from mine and installed stock Road King mufflers on mine. Four years of roar was enough.

If you read my post, its not the loudness that is bothering me. it's that these pipes sound ****tily hollow a lot of times, and have had many a comment on that fact as well. toning them down a notch or two and adding some tune to them is what I am after. Got a set of roadking mufflers Im bidding on right now.

Default quiet baffles for the V&H Classic II

I was looking for some quiet baffles for the V&H Classic II in my bike. Eventually I came accross with this web site and read these posts.

Could you find a solution because I have the same problem as you did? did you find any quiet baffle to lower the db`s?

I could not find any quiet baffles yet but I found a web site and it says they have one for V&H classic exhasut.
