Since the engine will be out, take a look behind the clutch basket and you can see the gear. If it's plastic, give Judge a call (he prefers calls to email) and he can hook you up with a JOG... or since you'll have the case split for the shift shaft, you can order the Kawi part and replace it the way the dealer would.
Is the part number for this: 16085-1345 Gear Oil Pump? Just wondering if I am looking at the right part. This is where I am referencing the part:
Cycle Parts Nation | Arctic Cat OEM Parts | Can-Am (Bombardier) OEM Parts | Honda OEM Parts | Honda Marine OEM Parts | Honda Power Equipment OEM Parts | Kawasaki OEM Parts | Sea-Doo OEM Parts | Ski-Doo OEM Parts | Suzuki OEM Parts | Yamaha OEM Parts

Thanks for the help.

Welcome aboard, Hemetrider! I'm going to take the liberty of adding you to the SoCal list of Kawi riders (if you don't mind?). We'll keep you posted on rides, meets n greets, etc in the SoCal area. You can pick and chose when/if you want to come out and play! Congrats on the new bike. We WILL INSIST on new pix when the paintjob is complete though. You realize that, right???

Welcome once again, good luck on the part replacement, and see ya 'round the chat...
Daryl

Sounds good man. Hopefully I'll be able to ride with you guys soon... I just picked up my parts today. I may have to call in sick tomorrow so I can get my bike up and running again.

Great looking bike even for it's age. The floorboards caught my attention. I saw they on a HD sometime back and tryed to find the manufacturer with no luck. Do you happen to know who made them?

Sorry man, I don't. I have them off the bike right now (finished pulling the engine today to repair my gear shifter) so I took a look but it doesn't say. Honestly, I thought they were stock.
