I need a new seat for the bike and the Kawi option fits the budget best. I don't have a problem with the stock seat (must have an odd shaped a$$!!), but the wife becomes very uncomfortable on the stock pillon and we really enjoy riding together. So, where can I get the best deal on a Kawi gel seat? Does anyone know if they are backordered?
Thanks for everyone's help. Bix |

Ron Green Sports Center has the best price I could find. GEL SEAT from Kawasaki Full-Line Accessories
I took this price to my dealer and he matched it. The nice thing about the dealer matching is that I didn't need to pay for shipping. I had my seat 4 days after ordering. It's on the bike now and I'll be riding today for the first time since installing it.

BTW, just got back from a 60 mile cruise with my new gel seat. I'm happy to say it was a much more comfortable ride. No sore rear. I noticed that it sits a little lower and back, which I felt comfortable enough with, but my legs were just a little sore. Nothing my legs won't quickly get used to. Great purchase... very happy.

Two thoughts:
Those that have this seat, tell us more about the comfort. Is it as good as a Mustang/Corbin/etc for increased comfort? Where to buy? Try your local dealer first. We gotta support our local dealers occasionally or they will be gone when we need them. |

I will 2nd, 3rd or 4th whatever Beartooth Kawasaki. You might find a better price elsewhere but by buying from our forum sponsor, you are helping to keep this place alive and I will personally attest to the great customer service practiced there. we often read threads on this board of bad service here or there but in all the dealings I've ever had with BTK, and there were many, I cannot think of one time where i was treated bad.
and all of that before i even met them in person.

Comfort.. I actually sat on the Corbin. I honestly could not see the 580.00 Difference... I can't really say anything about the Mustang Seat... Have not sat on or have taken a ride on a bike with the Mustang Seat... It might be worth the extra money if you are riding 500 miles a day, or needed more back support... The Kawa Gel seat definitely has more support than the factory seat. I commute over 100 miles a day on my Vulcan... I hope this info helps... Ride Safe... No doubt the gel seat is FAR better than the stock brick. I put 1045 miles on it in three days but was still unable to ride tank to tank without a sore butt. I was able to get about 1 1/2 hr before needing a break. I have since installed the scootworks pully and hope this will help ( smoothing out the ride at highway speed ) to ride longer.

I just got a gel seat from e-bay too! It is more comfortalbe than stock!! I had installed two extra inchs of foam in my stoker and that worked well too. With the extra though it felt like it was pushing you forward all the time. I can do an hour now with out a numb butt! Also the seating position is better. I am 5'10" tall, and this seat is good for those my height and more, cause it puts you lower and farther back. I have phat rizor IIIs, which really sets ya back nicely too! much improved riding position. Good luck! Honk
