My 900 Custom is sounding great with the Cobra Speedster Slashdowns. These pipes are the only performance mod done to the bike so far. I am having the first 600 mile service done next week. I really enjoy the sound now, but I want more! Is it smart to remove the baffles on a new set of cobras? They already backfire some on decel and when shifting. I've retightened the bolts and don't suspect an exhaust leak. Are there any side effects to removing the baffles? Lack of back pressure? Should I do this on such a fresh engine?
