Default Riding Glasses

I'm looking for a good set of riding glasses with interchangable lenses for night riding. What do you wear and where did you buy from? Also how much?

I got Lasik a few years ago so I don't have to worry about changing lenses anymore. I use a cool looking pair of sunglasses from Wallyworld... I think they were about 10 bucks. I have a FF helmet so I take them off at night.

HAHA I use the Marine Corps Ballistic Oakleys and Wiley-X's too! I have a pair of ESS (Eye Safety Systems) glasses I wear and they are very comfortable too.

I got a pair of transition lenses riding glasses from JC Whitney. Thewy were $40 dollars. They work very well in the bright sun light but do not work very well at night. They don't go 100% clear...

I wear contacts and use a set of Guard Dogs shades w/ interchangable lenses (about 75$). They also have a removable foam wind seal.

I also use Wiley-X with the polarized lense and clear interchangeable. They seem to work very well. The lenses hold in VERY tight!

I have the hook up (mom works for an eye doctor) so I was able to get them really cheap. But they would be worth the price too.

I picked up some metal framed safety glasses the are barely (and I do mean barely) tinted at Lowes for about $12.00 that I wear most of the time. They look like regular glasses sunglasses but they fit very close to your face so you don't get alot of air. I figure safety glasses should have some strong lenses to guard against flying objects.

I also have some dark riding glasses that have the padding around the eyes for sunny days.

Just ordered the Wiley-X XL1 with dark and clear lenses. They look good. They're not cheap at $80 bucks but I've never heard anything negative about them.

there good, and they have a foam surround on the eyes to keep some of the wind out. Changing lenses is confusing at first, so don't go balls to the wall on them and break the lenses out, just take your time. You'll get more proficient with time.

I just recently switched to goggles. Have a tinted and clear pair. In a half-shell, they work much better for me than glasses. Even better without a helmet.

I've got a pair of Wiley-X LIGHT ADJUSTING. Pretty cool not having to worry about it gettin dark on ya. I bought a lot of cheaper products and never was happy, finally "bit the bullet" a got a real good pair. Money well spent.

I've never liked messing with seperate lenses. The amber lenses don't work for me at all so I just wear dark for day and clear with anti glare for night. Whichever I am not wearing are in their little protective sleeve in the bag with the net. It makes life simple, what ever I ride home in goes in the house with me and stays with the helmet. So if I came home at night and then go out in the morning, I just make a quick swap.

i usually wear oakleys when i ride. Oakley's are ANSI certified and are shatter proof. like wearing a pair of safety glasses. the ones i ride with are my polarized gold iridium XLJ half jackets(1 of 4 pair). they've got the amber lens. they're ok for night riding, but i also have a pair of HD glasses with the transition lenses and the foam insert for when i know i'll def be out past dark.

Talking Certainly for me, the best option is

An easier option is the Caberg range of helmets, maybe not
as strong as a full face but. . .

The front lifts, easy to put lid on = don’t have to take glasses off.
Seat belt type strap = less reason not to put the strap on.

VERY nice internally fitted eye shade that lifts up, or down,
without having to remove anything, so even if going through a
tunnel, or at night, it is just a ‘flick’ of a lever to move the shade!

My morning commute is into the sun. So, therefore my evening
commute is too.
Wouldn’t be without it. . .That way too, there is no-way I can forget my ‘shades’!!

Not the best summary, but worth a look at this link. . .
YouTube - Caberg Trip Motorcycle Helmet
