This is my first post, I've been a lurker on here for a while. I just put an Avon 200/70-15 on the stock rim. Looks and rides really good!

His user page is still active.

You can change the wording under your name to anything you want... Maybe he just changed his to "banned"

wow that tire looks good on there... same height as stock or just a shade lower?
i am thinking of a 215/65/15 to put on my 900 custom...
and was it as hard as i think it is to get the tire to seat?

All it took was the proper lube, faith that it would work and about 8 cycles. 4 really don't count as I was using a lube mixture that was too watery. The next 4 cycles had the bead getting closer and closer on the top, but the bottom seated first and scared the poop outta me. It did take 80 pounds of pressure. I used a clip on air chuck and the pressure regulator on my compressor to cycle the air up. Next cycle and you could see the bead coming out on the top side, stood clear and POP. Wear safety glasses to keep the soap out of your eyes, I'm glad I had mine on. 50/50 Dawn and water really makes a good lube. Tire reports back the same speed compared to GPS that the Metzler 880 did.

If you just ride in a straight line, your motorcycle tire will become a car tire, like this one.

I guess the fellow that had the SV650 before me never made any turns. The stock Dunlop D220s stink anyway, so it will have new Metzlers on it as soon as the UPS truck arrives later in the week.

Has anyone been able to take their bike into a MC dealer and had them put a car tire on? i doubt that they would...
