OK, so you all know I got a Mean Streak. It came with a Power Commander 3 USB. I own a mac... So I don't think I can use the software. Any suggestions?
Also, how do you know it is powered up? I bought the bike from a dealership and they didn't even know there was a PC in the bike. does it light up or something? Any help about this device would be great. I don't know anything about Power Commanders... If there is a map out there for a Mean Streak with Bubs chambermaids and a Hypercharger please let me know where to download it. Thanks, Chad |

You can go and google power commander and download maps for your bike.
I have a 900 with a PCIII. If the bike is running fine with it I'd leave it alone. But check the 2 lines to the fuel injectors, if they are hooked up it's working. Also at the power commanders web site they have a list of authorized dyno tune places. Good to check out. |

Since the PC-II is already on the bike, you can go to their website and download custom maps. They may not have one for your exact set-up, but you can probably get pretty close. At least as a good starting point. Power Commander - 02 Meanie maps

Guess no one ever expected Mac users to be cool enough to be bikers.
You *may* be able to program the PC-III from a Mac if you use some sort of virtualization software that allows you to run a virtual Windows XP on your Mac -- something like VMWare or VirtualPC, possibly. |

If the green light is on in the center of the meter on the face plate that means its working. If you want to adjust the settings you turn the ignition on and withen 5 seconds push all 3 buttons (low, mid and high) then push to go richer or push and hold to lean out. The 3 buttons divide the throttle range into thirds.

The green light should be at the bottom when the bike is on. The light will move up and down as you open and close the throttle. Its kinda cool if you ask me. I like to watch it. It remindes of the gas pedal in KIT, the car on Knight Rider!!!!

I was never able to get the USB driver for the PCIII software to work on VirtualPC on my Mac. That being said if it's running well, I wouldn't worry too much. I've got some great maps from several forums posted here. Hope it helps.

ooops.... Sorry Chad, didn't realize you had the 1500. I'm not sure HOW much different they are, but Dynajet makes a point of them being separate so I wouldn't do it.

I wouldn't think using a 1600 map on a 1500 would do anything but have you a touch rich. Hard to say if a map on a 1600 with your intake and exhaust vs. a 1500 map that wasn't your exact setup would be better or worse.
