OK, this brings up an interesting subject. I am not a technical guy, i don't do programmaning, functinal analysis, or whatever in the computing world, I do however support those efforts in my job. I am always amazed however when it is learned by those I support that i ride, I immediately change from "our scheduler" to "the biker" and all of a sudden things like, watch out, he's a biker start into conversations...? sure, 90% of those i work with have never been on a bike but c'mon.

on the few occassions i've been lucky to be able to have nice weather on a day i have to be in the office and I can ride and show up in my gear, when i enter the bay its like work stops or somthing as all eyes focus on me, much like in the old western movies with Bad Bart walks into the saloon looking for the sherrif. what gives?

That's funny!

I just like to ride....................but, since you asked. There are two types of HD riders. The first type is the dyed in the wool, been riding for years, leather skin, tattoos to the max, the real deal. The second type is the grey haired guy (like me) that plunked down 40K, 40 days ago, is wearing every piece of HD gear the store had to offer and is now an inatant bad ***. Yeah....I like to blast past those guys on my 1500, pipes right the sweet spot and cause a skip in their pacemaker........that's a good day in my book.

Spok I understand completely.

Once non riders find out you ride they change impression of you. A lot ask are you in a gang? Don't know why but oh well.

LMAO

I love riding the bike to a BBQ joint. That just smells all kinds of manly to me.

That's cuz most people (non-riders) think that "BIKERS" think that they, themselves, are bad a$$.....when WE, the riders, are just out to enjoy a nice ride on the bike!!!! ......and they don't understand that the gear isn't JUST to look cool , but actually for protection!!!!

My bike has nothing to do with proving manhood. It's where I relax and enjoy the scenery. Most of my rides are with my wife as my wingman (should that be wingperson?). We have bluetooth connected helmets and get a little "together" time while riding too.

Are we handing out a couple of Ruger's Poser Patches for free on this thread? Then I'll change my answer.

There's a 'ladies only' section??

... so you're telling me that there's a whole area in here only for gorgeous biker chicks like yourself?? Why was i not told??!!

I think i'll have to dig out my camera, take a few pics of me and the bike when she's finished and pop on over to introduce myself!!

hehe, and i generally am quite modest, i just get all testosterone fueled when near my bike or ladies in leather!
