Default V2K with Mean Streak style "drag bars"...?

Anyone ever seen one? I'd like to see a few photos that show 'em off if so. I googled and googled and didn't see much.

I would think that the distance from the seat to the bars would make for a dirrerent seating position and you'd need really long arms. Never seen this but, you could be the first. Start with a V2K and go from there.

Thanks GD I kinda thought that would be an issue. I am hoping against hope that Kawi does something to compete with the Raider. Using the V2K mill. If not I'm facing a measurable mod project.

V2K with drag bars? This might be the only guy who could ride it comfortably:

Looking at both ther MS and the V2K I don't see THAT much difference in geometry but maybe I am hallucinating.

I've seen one, but not pictures.

All I can say it look really cool, but you would pretty much have to lie down on the bike for long trips.

Arlen Ness makes some beautiful drag bars with pretty significant pullback... Bunch of my friends use them on Victories.

Even so, a V2 with drag bars won't be very close to the posture of the raider-it's got a fair amount of rake, forwards, and a 21' front wheel. You would also be giving up considerable leverage w/drags.

It would look sweet, but it seems like the combo of drag bars and pedalboards might not be that fun to ride.

Baron Custom shows this:

I would think with significant pullback and wide bars, it would work just fine. I'm thinking about doing this on mine over the coming winter. I have the large nacelle headlight, so I'd have to modify the plate that covers where the risers mount and possibly relocate the ignition. Sure would look cool, especially if the wiring could be routed inside the bars and ss lines added. Yep, think I'm doing this...

2" of rise above normal, and wider than normal drag bars.

bingo. Looks like a ton of pullback as well, which you'd definately need. I do like those Baron's Inferno bars, tho...

I just like Ness parts, never seen one of their parts with poor quality.

And 'lordy-lordy'... you pay for that quality. I was originally thinking about buying their radius pipes they build for the V2K, but at about $750...

$750 is just a drop in the bucket for my Ducati.

Can you say U-G-L-Y? I hated when they started putting that style bar on all the customs. Not sure where it started, but Big Bear has those wraparound style bars on many of their models. Just looks plain stupid <to me>.

I totally agree. Looks painful, too.

Well, $750 is $750 is $750 in my book regardless. I got my Britt Custom pipes for $200.00 less and like the look better. I think that radius styled pipe is kinda' a flash in the pan anyway. Drag pipes are forever...
