Thumbs up OEM Light Bar - Need Windshield now

I have the OEM light bar for my 1500 Classic (07) and the dealer got me the Memphis Fats 19", but it won't work with this light bar. The bottom bracket on the light bar is bent different than the original signal light bar. The Memphis bracket would work with the original signal light bar but not with the OEM light bar. I want to keep the light bar as it looks nice, but which windshield will work with it? Also, I am starting to think based on posts that I have read that I should go up to a 20" or 21" windshield. I'm 6'2". All comments are greatly appreciated.

I read somewhere in the forum that the Big Bike Parts Contour Light Bar will work with the Memphis Fats shields on the 900 series - and they're right. I just finished putting one on mine and it looks good. Your mileage may vary with the 1500 series.

The BBPCLB has three rows of holes to mount it, controlling the 'depth' of the bar on the mount to give it three chances to fit close to the windshield. Mine just barely fit on the last set of holes - have about a half inch between the shield and the back of the lights.

It's a good setup - and it works with the Memphis shields. You might be able to sell the OEM and get the BBP bar if needed.

Good luck! ZD

Not true! I was not installing the Memphis bracket incorrectly. I have it installed now and it works fine.
