Unhappy Installed cruise, rejetted carb

Hello again,I have an 04 1500 Classic (carb model),, I saw the info on installing the cruise control on the Nomad FI and I saw the info on rejetting the carb, and I saw the info on the coyote kitand the Cadmann mod, so last weekend, since it was cold and damp and not riding weather and since I already had one of the cruise control units ( I have installed this unit on a 1998 Mustang 5 speed, and a 1971 Firebird) and since I already had some jets (from rejetting other bikes), I installed the cruise control, ( the hookup to the carb is different from the FI, I had to come from the top down as opposed to from the bottom up) I rejetted the carb ( I had a 165 a 175 and a 185, I used the 165 jet, the original was 13 I didn't completely do the coyote mod (as far as cuttin out the air box crossover and removing the left side air filter unit) but I did put a Mr Gasket 8 1/2 inch open element air filter on the right side, did the marbles and so on, the cruise works great, a lot better than a throttle lock(that I had recently bought for $35) but to be honest I (by the seat of the pants) can/t tell any difference in performance from rejetting or letting it breath more, In fact I had a K&N filter on it before and I read an article about the K&N allowing too much dirt through and causing premature wear so I put the original air filter back on it and it seemed to run better with the OEM filter than it did with the K&N??!!?? I have a Nomad exhaust on it (dual pipes) and the pipes have been cleaned out and the cat has been gutted and rewelded. I didn't really expect a crotch rocket from these mods but I kinda thought I would be able to tell a difference!!??? Did I expect too much or have some of you guys that have done these mods noticed a significant diff that I'm not seeing??

I just completed installing the Coyote/Cadman Kit on my 99 nomad. I've added a 8-1/2" open-air filter on the rightside, 170mm main jet and opened the vacuum slide to 1/8". As soon as I get some of my carb tuning problems out of the way (see my other post:
http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/fo...ead.php?t=7683), I'll give a verdict on the upgrades.
