Default The V2K.....What a Scoot

I just finished a long two day ride. Tucson, AZ to Carlsbad, CA for a RON and then north to L.A. and back to Tucson. The midday Temps were over 110 F both days with strong gusty winds and the big Kawi rode like it was spring time. Even when it is that hot it is hard to keep her under a 100 mph, she just wants to run.

I know everyone has different needs and wants from their bike but I can't imagine a motorcycle that fits my needs better than a V2K. It was love the first time I threw a leg over her and she has never disappointed me since.

You do put some miles on her and in the heat as well. These truly are amazing bikes and glad to hear you love riding yours as much as I do mine. Happy 4th to you and yours!

Thanks Bob,

I really wanted to go to the BT Rally in Red Lodge this year but it will not happen. Maybe next year. BTW, a SLC friend (rides a BMW) is visiting next weekend. It may be my excuse for a ride to Utah soon . Hot Dogs, apple pie, and fireworks forever.

Maybe next year for me too on the Red Lodge trip. Been there in a car but never a bike. Let me know if you get up this way! Enjoy your weekend, Bubba1

last week, i rode 350 miles out on wednesday to hook up at 2wheelfuns house and to see Ispeed77. then thursday morning Ispeed and I rode back the 350 miles to my place as he was making his annual cross country galavant.

I am always happy to throw my leg over the V2k and make a ride, short or long but honestly, with so few miles this year, that 2 day 700 mile adventure was pure joy. even the crazy headwinds at the columbia gorge couldn't put a damper on my mood.

your right, what a scoot

Spok,

We moved from McMinnville, OR to Tucson, AZ almost a year ago. We miss the beauty of the PNW but it sure is nice to be able to ride year around. I'm meeting Ms. Bubba in Oregon the first of September (she's flying, I'm riding) so we can spend a couple of weeks touring and camping in the PNW. Maybe we will run into you while we are there.

BTW, I thought about flying with Ms. Bubba and renting a HD. This isn't brand bashing, I'd rather be on the V2K plus half the fun is getting there and back.

if the weather and timing is right, i'd love to hook up if only for a moment to share a meal

I completely agree. It's an amazing bike. Gonna take mine on a ride from NE Illinois to Pittsburgh on the 19th. I can't wait. I did the ride last year on the Meanie (50* and 300 miles of rain, but still fun) and I think the V2K is just going to eat up the road (and the rear tire! ).

I got my retirement bike this spring a V2K & love it. We will be working here in Memphis tell Sept. We are thinking we will retire again this fall & looking to spend our winters in Casa Granda. So if things go as planed perhaps we can do some ridding this winter Bubba1. It will be nice to ride all year round.

Red,

I will be looking forward to riding with you. The V2K is a great bike for AZ, most of the rides put a few miles on and that is what she does best. I've never been on a motorcycle that eats the road like the big Kawi.

I took my retirement job here in Tucson last August and so far Ms. Bubba and I love the life. It's like living in a resort year around. Even the summer is not too bad as long as you have a pool. Come on down the water is great ,
