Default Leaving Kawasaki

Like it says in the title, I bought my first non Kawi motorcycle. A 2009 Red-Hot sunglo Harley-Davidson FLHTC is on order. I like the look, the sound, the vibration and the mystique behind Harley but most of all, it fits me better. For one, the bars on my Nomad are a little too far. Could be fixed with risers but i would block access to my radio. Didn't want to change the bars cause I would have to buy new grips. They're glued there for ever. I had two wonderful Kawis, my Nomad and a 2004 lime green Mean Streak and I loved them both but now it's time I try something else. I made sure my Nad was going to a good home. A very good friend of mine wants it and he's willing to pay good money.

Oh! and I know the drill. I'll post pics of my new bike when it gets here (september 5th). Meanwhile I'll be riding my Nomad.

You better post pics!!

I have recently been lured by the Harley mystique... I am fighting it, but I do love looking at them!

Sounds like a nice bike. I saw two beautiful Road Kings at Starbucks this morning. Harley makes a nice looking bike that's for sure.

Congrats!!

Congrats!!! I took a friend of mine on a 4 hour ride last weekend to pick up a new 105th anniversary sportster that he bought over the phone. I rode it and didnt care much for it, but he HAD to have a harley. To each their own. I have nothing against them at all, but if I bought one, I think I would want a fatboy. I rode his sporty and just think my 900 custom rides and handles much better. I seen a victory on the road this morning that looked awesome.

I went there myself back in April. I too had the Nomad, enjoyed it, but wanted a full tourer and Kawi doesn't make one. They may in 2009. So far I have been happy, yes it runs hot, yes it virbrates at lights, but once rolling I think it is smoother than the Nomad. Tunes, cruise control, storage, the list goes on.

If it makes you happy, fits you, and does what you want, then it is the right bike. Congratulations!

Love my Nomad and I wouldn't trade it for anything. That being said, I like the Harley's distinctive rumble, it has a nice growl!

No one here said it's any better than any other bike (yet) It's like anything else , if you like the bike nothing else will suffice.

uhmmm i think you said that in your sig.....and right there under your user name!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think thet if brand bashing is not allowed, then owners of "other brands" should not have comments like that as their sig !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harley Davidson set the standard ,everyone else is just trying to catch up!
set what standard???????

Harleys rule!!
what do they rule?????
