Maybe you could sneak a little seafoam in past the front desk? It's a shame they don't have a place for the family to gather during a time of crisis, hopefully you can find comfort in knowing your doing the best thing, and how happy she will be to have new tires.

Look forward to the great time you'll have with new rubber. I just went through it myself, and I brought the tire with me. They were busy, and it turned out I needed brakes too. Sorry, I didn't mean to say that.
Keep your chin up. It'll be OK.

Call ahead for the tire and don't go to a shop that can't change it in 1 hour. That way you never have to miss the ride for a tire. I had the choice of two shops. 1 wanted me to leave it for 3 days to get the tire and replace and the other wanted to charge me $10 more, had the tire in stock, and could do it in an hour.....Guess which one I went with.

That's why I order my tires from - American Motorcycle Tire and take the rims off the bike and take them to a local shop that'll mount and balance them for $20.
The bike is only out of commission for a few hours and it's never out of my garage.

I order mine online as well DennisKirk.com - Metric Bikes - Tires & Wheels
Already looking for a rear tire even though I still have plenty of tread left. I want to have it on hand, so I'm ready to go when I need it. |

the shop thats doing my tires just about 100yrds from where i work so i ordered the tire last tuesday, and was going to drop it off monday on the way to work to have it changed and pick it up after work, so friday i stopped in to confirm the apointment, but the tire never came in so micky called his vender to check on the tire, turned out it was on back order, so its supposed to be in sometime this week, so i figured id drop her off so as soon as it came in mick could change the tire and i could ride her home! hes charging me $150. for the tire, $30. mount and balance, including taking it off the bike

Belay all that mush! Trys ta be a man, or a woman as the case may be. We be bikers not wimps! Buck up, suck it in, keep a friggin stiff uppa lip why don't ye. Why, I remember the last time I brought The Frigate to gets some work done. I was...sniff sniff...barely out the door feelins all down in the mouth..sniff, when me first mate smacked me up side the head saying " Grow up yer lilly livered, mangy headed sod! All that cryin and such and you'll ruin yer leathers."
