Default 2001 Vulcan Classic muffler question?

Hi: Have a question regarding the modification of the stock exhaust on the 01 Vulcan Classic FI. Can anyone tell me where to go to find the instructions for this procedure. I know there is one as I found it once, printed it off, but, now can't remember where I found it, and can't find the printed version. The stock mufflers are very quiet and would like to have a little more "safety". If I remember correctly, the modification was done in such a way that if it wasn't what was wanted, it could be put back to stock.
    Thanks for any help
    .

Not reversible however. What I did was put on used (aka free) mufflers and gutted them completely. I like the sound much better than stock. Thinking about gutting the goat's belly also.....

Arnold, cut away and if you don't like the results, I have my stock mufflers and catalytic converter you can "steal" from me. I have V&H straight shots and I'll never put the stockers back on. The stock mufflers and pipes are in pristine shape.

Default 2001 Vulcan Classic muffler question?

OK. Thanks to all who replied to this question. It is not even for myself, and I have to confess guys, I run a Yamaha 2002 Royal Star Venture. But the thing I really noticed is, doesn't matter on this site, still get great answers to our questions regardless of what we ride. Very nice and will be watching this site from now on. Biking is biking. Ride what you want and like. That is my thoughts anyway.
    Thanks again

I have V&H straight shots and they have a leak at the top straight pipe where it connects to the pipe that goes to the cylinder. Is there a gasket there that can be replaced? Thank You, RON.

    Ron:

You need a new crush gasket...about $7 at a Kaw dealer or 2/$8 or so from:
