Question New Mean Streak, Bad Vibrations?

Hi
I live in sweden and i have just bought a new Mean Streak 1600.

The thing about thise beast is that in the RPM between 1500 to 2500 there is a lot of vibrations in the handelbar?

..Actually my mirrors usaly feel it too, and then i cant see what kind of car there is behind me anymoore! (volvo? Cops? Mazda?)

And i talked to the dealer about this and got the answer that it was a big crusier and that vibrations are a part of a V -twin.

Still I was not convinced .. so i tested a other Meanie that had gone 1000 miles (that is not american miles but miles according to the metric system)

Sure , there was a bit of vibrations in the handelbars, but not as mutch as in mine! If i ride the bike a long time I cant feel my right hand any moore! ( the left I usally let go off the handelbar from time to time ..)

So now I am prepering to go back to the dealer and complain...
... but I wounder if anyone else has any experience from this sort of thing? the bike is BRAND New .. surley this should not accur?

/Gustaf

The Mean Streak is unlike most Metric cruisers in many ways. This is one of them. Instead of a really smooth idle, the jugs tend to bounce a bit causing vibrations that will travel up the handlebars. As to if yours is too much, I can't really say. If the vibration is always there, there's likely an issue. She bounces at idle but smooths out very nicely as the RPMs climb.

Other than that, welcome to the Forums. You'll have to post some pics of your new ride (mine are in the link below).

Thx ! I will get the pics on me and my ride as soon as my kid brother returns my camera to me. He seems to enjoy taking pics of his new puppy dog .. cant see why?

But my vibrations starts at 2000 to 2500 and then goes away at 3000 and above... this is regardless of speed or gear ...

At idel it feels great =) I have idel speed at almost 1000rpm...

Maybe it is just me then?
