the outer ring is metal, but when i had it apart the housing looked like plastic........

I put this bulb in my '08 Classic last night. Both the ring and the housing are metal. There is an internal rubber gasket around the mounting point I'll have to keep an eye on.

No test drive yet but it's definitely much brighter when shining on my garage wall.

There's also a pair of unattached electrical leads loose in my housing. Ready for additional lights to be hooked up?
