Props to you buddy! I couldn't do it... at least not yet. I'll take pics of the light bar I got, and I was even at an HD dealer last weekend as saw how theirs are mounted...

I'm anxious to hear about and see yours! Gonna need DETAILS!!!

There's an allen bolt under it, but I forget the size.

Last night I got everything done with the new turn signal bar except the wiring. When I first opened the box, I got nervous. The thing looked a LOT bigger than I expected. However, now its assembled and I hold it up in place, Its gonna really look nice.

With the signals moved, I am able to move the saddlebags back another 3-4", and they line up quite nicely now with the rear wheel. Now, if I only had a bracket for those....

I took pics, Jeff. I still need to wire it and take a couple more pics. The stock wires will fall about 18" short with the relocation. Routing the wires under the fender without removing the wheel may be the most difficult part. I plan to make a PDF writeup that documents everything I did.

And you just buy it alone like that? It's not part of something else?

Awesome...

I know what you mean about looking HUGE, that's what I thought of the HD set when I took it out of the box!

I won't drill the fender unless I'm convinced it's the setup I WANT, and that HD setup is not it, so I'm particularly anxious to see the end result of yours!

I've seen it on Tweek's bike, but a how-to of progressive pics would be nice!

Yea, some or maybe all of the 800A's have them.

I got my new tail light in the mail last night, per Cosmic's request that I lose the trailer light. It's quite a bit thicker than I wanted, so I've decided to stop by Harbor Freight on my way home from work, and pick up one of their gasless mig welders to fabricate a recessed mounting bracket for it.

BTW... this is just an excuse for me to get a welder... Now there's not limit to my fabricating possibilities!

Anyone know if these jets will work on our bike?

DG DG® KEIHIN PILOT JETS from SCOOTWORKS INC.
DG DG® KEIHIN MAIN JET 5-PAK KITS from SCOOTWORKS INC.

I called the shops around town, and only one place said he might have something if I came by.

I also found these
Cycle Pro LLC PILOT JETS FOR KEIHIN CARBS from SCOOTWORKS INC.
Cycle Pro LLC MAIN JETS FOR CV-TYPE KEIHIN CARBS from SCOOTWORKS INC.

I know these are the harley jets, so I would have to get an emulsion tube for the main jet. However, that is a little more difficult.

You scare me... a grinder and now this?!

Oh, and I saw that trailer taillight the very first day you showed us your fender... I was just too polite to say anything!!!

I can get you a HD emulsion tube. They throw them in the trash at the local HD dealer when they install the DynoJet kits.

You might want to check if you have a HD dealer anywhere close because they usually just give me their smaller jets (150, 160, 170). They change out the HD emulsion tubes anyway, so these jets are direct fit. Use a 42 wire-gauge drill bit to drill out either the 150 or 160 to a 165.

A note from Dynojet

"We are often asked for a "cross reference" sheet that compares our main jets to Mikuni or Keihin. The fact is you cannot directly interchange the jets for a given size. Many things affect fuel flow through a jet of the same orifice size. The entry and exit tapers of our main jets differ from those of other companies. Due to this, the fuel flow changes as a function of velocity through the carburetor venturie. This means that two jets of equal orifice size will have a different fuel flow curve relative to intake air speed. At a certain speed the two may flow equally, but a change in velocity changes the flow characteristics. The Dynojet main jet hole size is measured in millimeters. For example, a DJ142 has a 1.42mm hole."

What is the diameter of the 800 valve shims? My local dealer has nothing in stock. I've heard many of the metric dealers (Honda, suzuki, etc) use the same size shims. Any truth to this? I would like to know of a nearby source for them before I start the valve adjustment, so I only have to tear inside once.

9.48mm is the diameter. but there's at least 50 different thicknesses. you need to remove your old ones, and measure, to get the new ones you'll need. For quickness get a shim kit, it's got most of them, or at least the ones you'll need. I got mine off e-bay for about $75 shipping included.

I know there are many thicknesses, I just wanted to know if any other dealerships have the right sizes in stock. No matter now though, I found them at another Kaw dealer about an hour away. Im not going to pay $75 for 100 shims when I only need a couple.
