My version of yokeless saddlebags:
(Note: They are not quick release, but I dont take them off anyway) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now that those turn signals are out of the way, I was able to move the bags back to where I like. moved the support brackets back as well. Instead of using the first 2 bolts in the fender strut, I moved them back to the second bolt and the hole left over from the missing turn signal. I ran the support bolts right thru the saddelbags (had to add 1 new hole to each bag) sandwiched between 2 large washers. They also attach at the bottom. These babies are not going anywhere!

I also did the valve adjustment today. I had 4 of 8 valves out of spec, at 10,000 miles. (Im fairly certain it had never been done yet) I was able to move some around, but I need to visit the dealership on Monday to get two more. Overall, it is not too difficult of a job...like they say. I did not take any pictures, because the procedure has been well documented already.
I'm no mechanic...but I play one on an internet forum!

Great job Tim... bags look great! I like that extra little pouch on the side of the bag, wish I had it. Mine are no more quick release than yours, but they WILL come off if you want take them off!

Those bags look good! Congratulations on what looks like a job well done. BTW, did you find a way to waterproof the mounting holes that came with the bags but that you did not use in mounting them?

Got some new pegs the other day and just got them on the bike last night. Didn't tighten them up yet, and I didn't bring the camera (I'll get some pictures later). I still have that ugly brake pedal that has absolutely got to go. Haven't found anything yet, but I'm looking. Any ideas?

Oh how I would love to have the Scootworks pedal! (can't afford)
I already replaced the shifter and pegs with chrome, so I'm needing to have the brake pedal match is all. Pegs; I almost got the Iso-Pegs, but it seems everyone else has them too. I went with these: Küryakyn mostly just because they had them in stock at a local shop.

Hoping to find something about the right size, drill a hole and bolt it on. They just don't have any at the HD dealer I like.

Thanks! Yes, I plugged the extra holes and covered them with black tape to hide them.

Yeah.. the more that I think about it, the more it's a possibility of being put on my to-do list.

What did you plug them with? They give you that ONE plug... I didn't do anything with the other holes yet, but I should...

Haven't figured out how to open the box... might have to get another grinder to open the box of this grinder!
