So what's the best option replacement seat for a 900 Custom? The pegs are high froward and I'm about average height (5' 10"). Mustang? Gel? Other?
Opinions? Thanks and Be well Tagamet PS I'm not liking the stock seat at all.

I finally got to ride my bike Sunday. About 175 miles 2-up with the new Mustang Wide Touring seat. Like I said before; my old (Cobra) seat was fine except for the pillion. My wife is really happy with the Mustang and so am I

When we rode about 400 miles a couple weekends ago my girlfriend didn't complain once about the seat and that was the first time she rode with me all year. A complaining passenger can really ruin an otherwise nice ride.

Thanks batcycle
![]() Yes, it is a bit high for some... but 'm 6' 3" so it's better for me than the seat I had on there.

You should be able to turn the collar (the piece that the choke knob slides into) and tighten it. It may have a plastic cover over it disguising it, but you will feel it turn. Turn just enough to hold the choke where you want it.

Has anyone had to move their horn setup at all to accommodate engine guards? I have a two horn setup and there isn't room in the stock spot anymore so they'll need to go somewhere else I guess....still haven't figured out where.

One caveat... I added a chrome chock knob cover though, and the little extra added weight, along with the vibration, causes the knob to ease it's way back in more quickly than without the knob cover on. The way it works out, seems to be perfect. After a mile or two, it's all the way back in without me having to touch it at all... keeps me from forgetting to push it back in, since the 800's warm up so slowly...

You will find mixed reviews on anything from gel, to Corbin to "others" but NONE other than positive on a Mustang. Even given the price, most are sorry they didn't do it sooner, INCLUDING me!!!

I never had the stock seat, but most compare it to some sort of medieval torture device. People keep threatening to send send their old seats to me too... not quite sure what to make of that.
Mustang seats are comfortable and well made.

If you have a tailbone, you'll cry like a baby about 90 miles...
