Hey everyone i have some stuff for sale for the VN'S
Power commander 3 (fuel injected models from 800 to 1500) I'd like at least 150.00 for it I.S.O gripes (fits 7/8 standard bars) need at least 75.00 for them I have 3 Stainless Steel Dash plates left 9They are not perfect but if you want to get ride of your one that says Kawasaki and it S.S. so it wont rust then these will do it for you and it looks ok (for the 800 model) I'd like 30.00 a piece and thats all for now I'm going to my storage unit today to bring back most of my other stuff from my 800 and i do use ebay but i'm offering it all here first for you guys . Keep on riding !!!

Since "Which kind of mustang seat?" should be your next questions, I say it depends on the style you like and who rides on the bike. I very rarely have a passenger and like the lower profile of the fastback. it is just as comfortable for the driver as the wide touring, but an inch or so shorter and an inch or so narrower. But, if you will have a passenger for any trip more than across town, the pillion on the wide touring is MUCH better. If money is not an option, invest in one with a backrest. I've ridden on a VTX with a driver's backrest and it was NICE!

That's part 2... you GOTTA get the backrest! It's unimaginably different to ride with it... whether it's the look you were originally after, it's SO comfortable, if you're like me you'll "modify" the look you were after pretty quick!
I recommend trying riding WITH it, then take it off and see how long it takes before you want it back again! And it's instantly tool-free removable, so for the days you want that stripped down look, it' just pops off!

Well everyone, I took a vacation down to Florida. On the way to the everglades my top carburetor hose busted and thankfully I did not burn my legs. I made a home made hose that worked that let me ride since the kawasaki dealers did not have the hoses.
Long story short I pulled the entire air system apart and noticed that there was a mice nest in my bike the whole time, no wonder why the performance was like that. I am still not getting the full 50-55 MPG. I have fiddled with the idle stick and have made the idle faster and slower but it does not improve the MPG. There is no gas on or in the air filter assembly, leaks or anything of that sort. I tend to blame the problem on the carburetor. I need to post some pics on here.

Well boys... going camping next week, and it's been a busy week getting ready for it! Keep the thread alive (if you don't hear from me before I leave) and look forward to some open-carb surgery when I get back, because I'll have nothing much going on for the rest of the month... should give me PLENTY of time to anaesthetize my poor little 800!!!
