Does anyone have a 800B with a bob fender, or did anyone actually get a fat tire on a 800A? I'm curious to see how alike that setup would look to that harley.

Great looking bike BTW.

Yea, I'll have to admit it's a good looking scoot.

Sometimes... parts fall off your bike going down the road. I nearly lost my chain guard yesterday. Rear bolt fell out on the road and the front was about ready to do the same. The chain nearly wore a hole through the top of the guard. I kept hearing a little bit of a rattle whenever I hit a bump, but you would think the thing would have made more noise?

With the rear bolt coming out instead of the front I would have figured you'd hear all sorts of noise from it against the chain.

At least you didn't lose it/damage anything else.

Yea, you'd think... probably rode 50 miles with it like that. Didn't hear a thing except whenever I hit a good bump though.

So here's the scoop boys... a bunch of us that seem to hang out more in the Donkey threads than anywhere else (although I try to spread myself around! ) are getting together for a Donkey ride on August 8th, in Leavenworth, Kansas!

It all started innocently enough, I mentioned that I have a three-day weekend that my wife told me to ride and do what I want with, and the wheels started turning. It actually came right out of my hands completely, and others started running with it... turns out it's not even the weekend I have free, but it's pretty much a done deal now!

Since you guys are most of the guys I know best, I thought I'd at least let you know... whether you can make it or not is something only you can decide, but since I (and others) can't make it to Red Lodge, this is a potential alternative! Even I can't ride there and back in a weekend, so I'm flying in... can't let it happen without me!!!

One of the members here (mwmalotte) plays in a band, and has a gig that Saturday night, some of us are coming in Friday and leaving Sunday. We have people from Arizona, Iowa, Missouri, Ontario, Alberta, Kansas and more places I can't remember, coming... probably no more than about 12 at the moment, but of course all are welcome!

Today is my last day at work for a week, camping with the family, so you won't hear from me after the end of today until at least next weekend... Just something to think about!!! I hope it's something you decide you want to do and can make happen!!!

Hmm.....Unless something else comes up...count me IN!!! I have family in KC, so it shouldn't be hard to plan a trip around that too.

COOL!!!

Details are emerging rapidly... of course, we have the location of the venue, a bunch of hotel options (though sounds like you don't need one!) and all that, but I'm only gone for a week so unless you need any of that now, the info will probably be a lot more "streamlined" when I get back! I've got one member in charge of keeping me up to date so the information flow doesn't get out of control while I'm gone!

Just drop in to the Donkey Overload Reservoir and say hello, and ask about it! Any one of the people posting in there will help you out, I've already told them that the 800's have been made aware, and Mike, the guy who's in the band, has seen that you're coming and is thrilled to hear it!

You can PM him too, at mwmalotte, but again, just about anyone in that thread will help you out!

BLASHPEMY!!! I checked you can't lie to me! It's a day's riding from there, and a REASONABLE day at that!!! If it was only 9 hours for me, I'd be riding!!!

The gig is on August 8th at a local biker bar called Helen's Hilltop. It's located at 19611 McLouth Road in Tonganoxie, Kansas. Southern Reign will be playing from 9 PM to 1 AM. I hope you can make!

If ya have any other questions, let me or Jeff know

I have seen the donkey thread... and I'm scared now
Seriously, if I can make it, I will. We're planning a ride closer to home in the next week or two, and I may be riding to Tennessee soon as well.

Hey Rusty, where in Tennessee are you going? I know it's a long way for you, but if you ever have a chance to ride in the Smokey Mountains you need to do it. Any road your on will be fun.
