I dreamt last night that I did my carb... actually, me and a buddy from work... we had to take the heads off to do it, and I found a piece of firewood down inside my block... (just got back from camping... is that where the firewood symbolism came from?)!
Hey, it was a dream. I didn't say it was any more normal than any other dream! Oh, and I woke up before we got the bike back together so I don't know if it worked!

...and if you filled the heads with water...you could make a steam powered cycle. You just re-invented 1800's technology in your dream, Jeff!!

Don't laugh... the log was floating down in the coolant, which was a pale, watery beige liquid!

And look what came today! ![]() ![]() And I finally realized today that I have V&H straight shots instead of cruzers! Do straight shots have removable baffles in them? There is a single bolt near the end of each of the pipes. If so, can the baffles be re-installed? Blew my own mind when I found out today, always assumed my pipes were cruzers.

hah I could have told you those were straight shots!! I would assume the baffles can be re-installed. They can on the cruzers so I'm not sure why the straightshots would be different in that aspect.
Bike looks good!! I need some bars and pegs. long highways are starting to suck. Wish I had twisties everywhere I went then i wouldn't be so worried abput my inconvienences and more worried about keeping the bike upright! My chicken strip would be in the middle too

I bought them second hand so they are a little messed up but they were not so bad, ebay sells the cobra bars new for around $160, these were half that....but like I said, they have a couple crappy spots if you're looking for them. I pay attention when turning in slow speed situations, sure wouldn't want to catch a bar on the pavement.

Maybe I'll try this over the weekend and see what happens. The install instructions for the pipes I found on the v&h site but it didn't mention anything other than the baffles being supplied. - I know I'll end up putting them back in.
