Sound Awesome, very pleased with them. When I bought them they didn't come with baffles, very LOUD. I purschased the baffles and Wham, just what I was hunting.

hey just a quick hello and question...does anyone know any tidbits on the styling influences of the 2008 and earlier model nomads....saw a show today LIvin The Low life about lowriders and such and saw a restored black 1942 fleetliner that looked like my nomad *** end to a tee with the silver trims and such. could not have been a closer match if you created the two together. just curious if any info ever came out of Kawasaki about the influences to the design...

Default Vulcan 2000 front Pulley Shaft replacement?

Has anyone replaced the front pulley drive shaft on a V2K. I have the manual but it isnt specific on that particular shaft except when it shows the whole transmission apart. It looks like I could remove the Right cover, remove the nut on the opposite side of the drive shaft and push it out the belt side. I am not sure if this is possible.

The splines are shot on the pulley side of the shaft so I really need to replace this and the pulley. Anybody?

Soupbone,I have a VN1600A2 Classic with Caddmen and using (2) KNN E 3492 8 1/2 " air cleaners,my factory setting for Cobra FI2000 is 41/2-3-0 but bike was running to rich so I have it set at 2-2-1...running so good now that my fan rarely comes on even on warm days, starts up easily too.! Nomad setting is 3-5-0 but both bikes( I believe) have same throttle bodies so should be pretty close to what I have....hope this helps LOU .........did this after warranty expired

check out sites like DennisKirk.com - Motorcycle, Harley-Davidson, ATV, Dirt Bike, Snowmobile, PWC / Watercraft Parts, Apparel, and Accessories or Motorcycle Parts and Motorcycle Accessories for Cruisers: Honda VTX, Yamaha Roadstar, Kawasaki Mean Streak, Suzuki Volusia and more ...
they both have the ability to input your bike and list what works for it.

I'm getting a '92 Vulcan 1500 Sunday and want to take it apart and put it all back together again. It's been two and a half years since it's been turned on. It needs some work but for the most part is in good shape.

This is my first forum and I'm a nube to the site. I'm hoping that everyone from this site will be able to help with the new life I plan on giving to this bike. I'll post a few pics of what it looks like now and more as time passes and progress is made.

(:

hey sapper, welcome to the forum. if you haven't already, you should start a new thread, either in the main forum or in the cruiser section, and repost your last two posts. this thread doesn't get a ton of traffic, so you won't see many responses.

Hello all,
here is a update about my 1996 VN1500 Classic.
Now I have 11,5" 440 Progressive Suspension Shocks.
And it looks great. I hope they ride also.

Regards

Peter

drag bars are definitely going to give you a different feel than conventional bars on a classic would. if that is all you did and then you noticed the difference, then i would have to believe it is just the feel of the new bars.

Default Bags and bars

Recently bought 1600 Classic, wondering if anyone has bought Saddleman rigid mount quick detach drifter bags, if so how was fit and any mods needed? Also waiting on Jardine quick detach backrest (sissybar) any dealings with that?
