Thanks Greg, I'll give them a try.

Muzzy's did respond today and said those pipes are discontinued and I'm out of luck. :{

So I've got a 2008 1500 classic, and my girly thinks there's too much vibration in her footpegs. In my experience (which was entirely on dirtbikes up to now) motorcycles vibrate. She seems to think it's more pronounced in the right peg than the left. Is this normal?

I think there could be some truth to that, since the pipes are on he right side, but that is just me speculating sp?

Default Power Commander not behaving????

05 nomad new Power Commander III installed, stock map, no map, V&H dual bagger map, will not idle... I can turn Idle up and it will run for 3-5 seconds and die, will immediately restart and do same.. Disconnected all, back to original, runs fine. Anyone have any Ideas...??? cleaned out carbon buildup (saw that problem). next stop, dyno shop.... thought this was going to be an easy (and inexpecsive) upgrade..

Try posting this in the cruiser section, it should get alot more hits, and you will most likely get some good answers. If Rich Lockyer is around, he will more than likely know what you should do to fix it.

I have no idea (oh, welcome to the forum by the way) but you may want to start your own thread in the cruiser section and ask. That will be the best place to all the answers (and more) you are looking for.

Assuming you bought Kaw shocks, the owners' manual for my '02 1500 FI says to adjust the pressure up to 43 psi depending on load & road conditions.

Had that problem and it was "cupping". Someone showed me to lay my hand on the front tire and feel long ways (front to back) and if you feel slight dips in the tire (cups). I replaced my tire and humming went away.

I have a 2008 Vulcan 1500. I am wanting to know if the De-Baffeling procedure is the same for my bike as it is for the Nomad? Also will I need to make modifications to the Air and F/I systems.

Thanks for any help.

by de-baffling, exactly what do you mean ? just punching out the baffles or are you trying to remove them ? you won't need an EFI controller unless you do an intake mod, and neither are required for an exhaust mod, but you won't see any power gains from exhaust alone.

Thanks for your reply

I was thinking about removing them. I am looking for improvement in the stock sound not really in performance. I like the looks of the stock pipes but if I need to buy after market pipes to get the sound I want I mey have to.

not sure if you will be able to get the baffles out. i have heard of some people punching out the baffles with a rod or something similar to get some sound though. start a new thread in the cruiser section and i am sure you will get some better answers than what i have to offer.

Start slow....I stopped at a stage 2 debaffle...just the right amount of bark when you crack it open, but not obnoxious in my opinion. I also don't see how anything could be different from one bike to another other than perhaps drill bit\rod size

Cool In the market for an Alarm System for my "Meanie"

Anybody got any suggestions.......I would like to have the perimeter setting, keyless start, and vocal/verbal warning......I have seen many systems w/ one or two of these features but not all three.......I am open to any suggestions and the truth may be there may not be a system out there that offers all three.....please, also inform me of any faulty/insufficient systems out there.....don't wanna buy a lemon, lol.......

I have a 02 Kawasaki "Mean Streak" 1500.....My pride and joy, so I wanna protect it.....

post a thread in the cruiser section or even the sportbike section and you should get some responses. i know there has been some talk about alarms in the past, so you could also do a search and see what threads come up. nice bike, but i am kinda biased.
