This sticky is silly. Why not get rid of it? THe other stickys are mostly worthless, too. It would be easier to get to the posts without having to scroll down these stickys. Ditch 'em!

Any chance of knowing the maker of the accesory front halogen lights for the VN 2000 ? I need to replace one of the lights ( not just the light bulb ). Or do I have to order the whole complete set ?

Thanks.

You have to go to your Kawasaki dealer. You can't determine the manufacturer or buy one unit from it. That's Kawasaki's business.

An HID conversion on the Rogue looks positively sweet. Just my 2 cents since you're replacing.....

Since nobody uses this thread much, I'll try to revive it a little with a V2K question.

This pic asks it for me.

The helmet lock is on the other side so I can't figure out what this bracket whatzit is for. Sure wish I had a manual.....

Thanks I am quite tickled....

And you are right. The factory service manual would be great but $75 is a bit steep at the moment.

Kim,

I haven't a clue what that is for. I went out and checked the LT and I have nothing like that at all. Think the Kawi parts break down would show it?

Thats the factory optional NOS bottle mounting bracket Kim , but you might need to ride the bike a bit longer before you hook it up to the gas.

Kim,

According to Ma Kaw it is a muffler guard, probably from the factory exhaust.

Kim,

I wonder if they put that bracket back on because of a clearance issue? If you pull that bracket will the bolts go to far in to rub something?

Just a thought.

Washers would cure that. I'll be careful.

I was told by the dealer once that it is to prevent the heel of the passenger from getting inwards.
I was not very convinced.

By the way, I like the look of your V2K.
Are you happy with the V & H ?
It would look even better with brown leather seats.

Thanks
I had a 04 classic and it would have wierd harmonic noises too but then I built my bike into a chopper and I havn't heard any wierd noises. I just think the stock exhaust was too quiet. cars would pull out in front of me often.

Looks like a foot guard for the passenger to keep the foot or shoe from being pinched by the swing arm movement. Doubt if it would be in the owner's manual.
