    Default Headlight bulb 800A

    I just replaced my headlight bulb with a 80/100 H4, but now I'm wondering if this will be too much on the system, since the stock bulb is 55/60. Anyone done this?

    I know this has been asked before and if memory serves me it should not cause problems. I think there is an article on Gadgets site about this.

    It will be fine Blue, the wiring an fuse is plenty big enough to handle it. The only reason I haven't changed mine is because I've wire my silver bullets to the headlight so there on all the time with the headlight. I've had them wired this way for 2 yrs an about 12,000 miles an haven't had a problem yet.

    No,there wont be any problem at all! The only thing is the 80/100 bulb will not last as long as the 55/60. the high beam will go out first then its time to replace the bulb! But it should last a couple of years or so,and does put out a whole lot more light!! But it will not affect the charging system at all(as long as you are riding)! But do this-always carry a spare bulb in your side cover or where ever you want! OK?

    Go here;
    http://www.piaa.com

    I just installed a H4 Xtreme White Plus bulb. It provides 110watts of lighting from only 60watts of power. Big difference over stock bulb with no additional load on the system. Do a dealer search might be someone in your area that sells them, if not order from PIAA.

    No problem. I had one in the 800 Classic, and put the OEM back in before I traded it for the 1500, and now the 80/100w bulb is in the 1500. There is a big difference, especially on high beam.

    It has the H4 designation and it will match what is also found on Gadgets site who also has an article about updating the bulb:
