Default V2K Drive Belt NEEDED

Came home the other night with my V2K Classic and saw something like a spot on my belt. Turns out a small rock (about 1/4 inch got caught between the pulley and the belt. Rock is embedded in the belt.

Doesn't seem to be affecting anything or hitting anythng but not something I want to let go for too long. It's in a spot I can always find (right next to the numbers 3247 on the belt) so I can keep an eye on it.

Those monster belts are expensive. From the dealer a new belt is $552 retail and 3 hours labor to change.

Anyone have any ideas on where to get a belt cheaper or anyone have one for sale ? I found one at Cycle Parts Nation in Michigan for $372 plus $26 ground shipping. OEM Part number 59011 -004.

Any other ideas or leads would be greatly appreciated.

I have a spare belt that I will sell you. I have a 2004 Vulcan 2000 and had the opportunity to purchase a belt, 2 tires and 2 wheels from a guy with either a 05 or 06. All had less than 3,000 miles on them since he changed all of this out while customizing it. He put a new pulley on the rear wheel and thus ended up having to have a different size belt. If you are interested, I'll take $200 + shipping.

I picked up a small rock in my belt last fall. I pulled it out, and while I have been meaning to get a replacement, i've ridden all year with it, with no issues whatsoever. The little hole is in the center of the belt, and has not changed in size or shape since i pulled the pebble out.

I have heard that their is a Harley belt that will fit our bikes, for appx. 1/2 the price.

Pull the rock out and just keep an eye on it. Like Trike, many have put a lot of miles under similar circumstances.
133 tooth HD belt is said to be a direct replacement.

Go to this web site and search for part #24479. It's an H-D 1.5" wide 133 tooth rear drive belt which is a pretty close match to the V2K belt and it only costs $166.

Try this - I've never purchased from these guys, but I found the link here in the forum sometime back.

I would also check out a Harley belt. I work with a guy who has a Heritage and he told me their belts were much cheaper. It couldn't hurt to see if they make one that will fit.

Rear Drive Belt - 133 Tooth
I wouldn't recommend buying from this company. There was quite a few people who ordered pulleys from them and they ended up waiting many months to get them even after the company took their money.

Thanks. I'll check it out. Maybe a HD belt will help with the typical V2K belt squeals too ! Amazing the difference in price.

Probably just supply and demand. The V2K belt is unique to the V2K, and there are not that many V2K's out there.

HD probably uses that belt (same length but slightly narrower than the V2K belt) on multiple models, and has sold a lot more of each of those, resulting in a lower price because more people buy that item.

Don't know about the squeal-----but definitely worth a try.
