Default Remove tank logo?

I have the custom and want to clean up the look. What's the best way to remove the Vulcan logo off the tank?

heat it up with a hair dryer, then use fishing string and kind of like saw it off, then use goo gone to get the rest of the residue off,

Gentle heat application with a hair dryer might soften the adhesive enough to remove the badge. Do not get the paint soft so it bubbles or repaint time!

Heat and braid fishing line. 10# Fireline worked great on my side covers, tank badges still in place.

Check out this link on Gadget's website. It has a great set of detailed instructions on how to remove the tank badges:

Heat, fishing line, and goo gone. Thanks, I was trying to heat it and pull, but it kept snapping back. I'm on it.

Jack Hammer works well.... side swipe an Oak tree can work but it's a little tricky... You could chew them off but they taste like hell....

Or you listen to the other guys....

Napalm!

don't forget to wear safety goggles.

(hairdryer, dental floss and a whole lot of picking/rubbing the glue off the tank)

I noticed some members really like the de-badged look and then after a year they decide to re-badge the bike. For me, I like having the original badge that came with my 900. This way it will help people distinguish what type of bike they are looking at.

i prefered the 'custom' look of my bike without the badges. I think it looks much sexier without the gaudy plastic badges. ... i hear they're strategically placed to stop the tank from scratching if you accidently drop the bike though....

Plus in the UK the badges say VN900 ... I'd prefer it and probably would have kept them if they said 'Vulcan'.
