i like those saddlebags. they're the ones i'm thinking of getting. Are those the Jumbo size? you don't need a PCIII with just a few holes in the exhaust though ![]() |

Yah i know i don't NEED the PCIII right now. But it came in the deal for the bike. Plus, I know a guy who knows a guy. so i get a GREAT deal on a custom MAP. Custom tuning is the only way to make a computer worth it. and believe me, it does. I need to get up there and get it MAPed now that i drilled the pipes and ride almost always 2up with my wife. He will set up the torque curve or something like that to be more efficient with a passenger. Probably bringing it more to the low end. I dont know. he is the pro and for the price i won't argue. I'm not into chrome either. IDK why, just not my thing. I like things painted to match the bike or a color that looks good with the tank color. I actually want to paint the sissy bar and the covers a flat grey or silver, or actually an old shool red, like the Indian color. Havent really thought it out yet. it might look dumb though. I need to try it on photo shop first... Last edited by bennylt : 09-08-2008 at 01:07 PM. |

of course. as a size comparrison. My Saddlemen Jumbo's: a 12 pack of cans fits perfectly into one bag. nut much room for anything else but an extra pair of gloves and a t-shirt stuffed to the back of the slant.

Have you had the Saddlemans in the rain yet? I like them cos the lids wrap around like a hatbox... they look like they'd stop the water getting in unlike some which just have a flap which folds over and buckles up. Is there also any way to lock the bags? People aren't very honest over here... Last edited by insolentminx : 09-09-2008 at 04:19 AM. |

I also hard mounted the bags. They don't come off without taking bolts out, so i leave them on when i wash it. Everything is fine with that, the material is not sensative to water. I try to keep the soap off though. I believe the box top lids on these would work as well as anything else in the rain. Plus they velcro at the front and back, in addition to the latches on the side. So they stay on nice and tight. Last edited by bennylt : 09-09-2008 at 09:32 AM. |

cool cool.
i was thinking of using them with Easy Brackets. Do you just cut the yoke off with a knife to hard mount them? Or fold it over and sandwich it between the bag and the bike when mounting? |

Benny, nice looking Black Classic!
They are the fastest (Black) and most comfortable of the 900's. Maybe I missed it in the earlier post, but can you lock those bags? Thanks and good riding. |

Sorry I have not logged on in a while.
Yes the bags lock. They have the little turn knobs that you can put tiny luggage sized pad locks on. Thats what i do. And no you don't have to cut the yoke off. it is removable. the holes it attaches through also help with the adding of a hard mount system without having to punch holes inthe bag. |
