I know the pain you are feeling as well. I agree that getting a new buddy is a fitting tribute the the good times you had with your previous member of the family.

Hope the sorrow eases soon for you.

I am so sorry to hear that. I lost my puppy about a year ago and I know it is rough. I still miss him sometimes. A new pup does help, but do it in your own time. You will know when it is right. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

That's a very tough thing to do, and a very hard loss to take. I know from experience, that very little helps except the support of friends, and some time... you have my sympathy...

sorry for your loss, dogs allways fill our hearts with love and joy and the loss of one can be as hard to deal with as a losing a family member(cause that is what they are). just keep your head up and ride, once again sorry for your loss.

Had to put our dog down a couple of months ago. he was pretty old. unfortunately I was at work and my wife had to handle it all. I felt so bad for her. She went the next day to the animal shelter and got a new beagle so our other dog wouldn't be lonely. I think it worked for all of us..Got a pretty good dog out of it... just sorry to see old Buddy go..Any way. Sorry about your loss.....I feel for you..

I'm so sorry for your loss.

My wife has been diagnosed as a manic/depressive, and was institutionalized seven times in a two year period for attempted suicide.

Six years ago, she brought two dogs home, and since then, she hasn't tried to kill herself. These dogs have lived half of their natural life and I don't know what I'm going to do when they die.

My point is, I understand what a huge impact this dog had in your life, and I'm very sorry that you have to go through this pain.

VR, I know how you feel. It's been 19+ years, and just thinking of my childhood version of "wisdom on four furry paws" still gets a lump in my throat and a tear in the eyes.

Sorry for your loss. A dog is the greatest companion there is. And they're around just long enough to rip your heart out when they go to doggie heaven...
