Default Ape Hanger Pics Only: I Want to Compare and See What I Like

I am interested in getting apes on my 900 custom and I want to see what people have done. I wanna do my homework.

For the people who have pics of their apes, can you please post them here. We can make this page the ape page. LoL Thanks!

Depends on how tall you are.
Stock, I couldn't ride 200 miles without getting low back pain. Now, I won't bat an eye at an 800 mile day.

Thanks trike and rich... I am 6'2 with long legs and long arms. I'm 195 lbs with a 36 inseam. I want them to look bada*ss dude. I want them to be about eye level. LoL. There are a few things I wanna do to my ride.

1. 18-20 inch Apes to look bada*ss

2. Bullet Chrome Speakers so that I can jam out to some Metallica or some Ted Nugent

3. Lower the rear to make the bike look nice and clean

4. Green or Purple L.E.D.'s to show my bike off

That would be my version of a sweet ride man.

Here is my 97 Classic with 10" mini apes. I think I might change them to Barons Big Johnson bars though.

It's that purdy LTD paint job. They only made the LTD for 2 years... his is the '05, the '06 was silver with a "blueburst" panel on the tank and fenders.

Still purdy, but not as striking as Carlo's... would have been better if they had eliminated the silver completely and faded the blue into black or dark blue like they did on the '05.

I hear apes don't go to well on trying to make a small uturn or slow turns really at all because its such a far stretch that you may end up steering with one hand. Then replacing all the cables for longer ones...

I've never had a problem. Granted, my Apes are "only" 14" tall, though the V2K is a very long bike, but I wouldn't trade them for anything.

It depends on the general ergos.
The WIDTH of the bars, in combination with the pullback, is more of a factor on low-speed turns than the height of the bars.

I've seen bikes with "beach cruiser" bars that even I couldn't reach the outside grip on a lock to lock turn without laying on the tank.

Exactly the opposite of Greeneyes for me. I had shoulder pain with the stock bars. I switched to mini apes with the 5.5in pullback risers and all is well.
