10/03 My brother from Salt Lake City {rides the Meanie} came down and we were off for an 8 day adventure.
We left So. Cal for San Diego heading down the coast for a nice relaxed start. Got to San Diego and rode around to see the sights, Went to the hotel and checked in then went down the beach to get dinner at a place called, What a great little place and the food! The next morning we headed east up the mountains into Julian, this was one cold ride, windy, cloudy, almost rained, so we stopped in town for a little bit of apple pie and coffee. Then it was down the mountain road into the desert {this was a fun road}, ![]() once in the desert we stopped to shed some layers. Rode across the desert across the lower part of the Salten Sea and around up to Havisu for the night. Took a nice night ride after the sunset watched some RC offroad racing before calling it a night. Headed north to I40 had to jump on the highway for a bit, to get past Kingman, then it was back south on 93 and up 89 towards Congress, Route 89 is a great ride from Congress all the way to Prescott. Then we jumped on 89A up and over to Jerome {another great riding road} what a cool town, stayed on 89A into Sedona From there it was up the canyon and north to I40 and over to Williams, AZ for a couple nights so we could check out the Meteor Crater and the Grand Canyon. On the way up to the Grand Canyon we headed right into a fire just south of the park, made things a little hazy but still quite a view. Headed back down the the hotel into an amazing Arizona sunset The next morning it was a little cool {42} so we took our time getting on the road, headed back up to the canyon for a few more pics, went around the east end for some final shots, then it was out of the park and into the Navijo Nations, rode north to get across the Colorado, then we rode Rte. 89 to Fredonia, some real fun roads and nice views along the way to stay in Saint George, UT for a couple nights. We rode up to Zion National Park first Then we ran up to Bryce National Park, going through Red Canyon on the way ![]() Bryce was quite a sight to see. When we left Bryce the air was starting to cool down with a storm front moving down from the north, we decided to take the quickest route back to I15 at Ceder City, on the way over the mountain we came upon this ![]() Ceder Breaks is a real nice view but it was a bit chilly, so we headed back to the hotel to warm up in the hot tub. The next morning we parted company as Glenn had to get back north to Salt Lake City and Chuck and I were heading south into Death Valley for the night. We were up before first light heading south for home. This was a great trip 2600 miles in 8 days with my two older brothers. Next year its Glacier and the Dakotas.

Appreciate the trip report and pics. I only wish my trip to sw CO could have been longer. Next time I'm going to head up into Utah as well.

What an awesome trip and thanks for those great pics. As a recent immigrant to this country (1992) I'm always amazed by the beauty that we find because of brothers like you who share your experiences.
Now if I could ever get out of south Florida.............
