Default Arlen Ness big air kit

Can anyone give me the low down on this? Do I have to get jetting adjusted or anything else? Easy install? Worth it? Really want it for the looks not the performance but would like to know thanks

I really just want to replace my cover with something cool so even a cheaper alternative would be a welcome idea.

I've got a HD air cleaner cover/insert from Ebay. Cut of the 900 emblem from the QEM airbox and fitted the new cover with a self made bracket. Sealed everything with silcone and ... there we go !!

inside

snug fit

done !!

Thank you predfan for your info and help over the big pond !!

Cheers from downunder

what year/model do you have?

with any air kit you need to adjust your fuel injection.

i installed a hypercharger mostly for looks but there's definitely an extra kick.
and installation is pretty simple.

a cheaper alternative is to buy a Harley air filter insert plate and just glue/bolt it onto the face of the stock airbox.

edit: ^^ he beat me to it, with a description too!! how's that for service?!

I installed the AN Big Sucker on my bike about a month ago. It was an easy install and I think it looks great. You will need some type of fuel management system though, because it is allowing more air into the engine, so it will run leaner. The fuel management system, like a PCIII, will adjust for that and get more fuel into the cylinders. If you don't already, you will also need aftermarket exhaust, so you can move the extra air out of the engine.

If you don't have the $ to do it all at once, you really should start with the exhaust, then the fuel management, then the air intake.

Man that looks great. I didn't cut out as much as you did so mine doesn't fit as good as yours. The cool thing about this mod is it looks great...and no other upgrades needed cuz it is still all stock. Good work!

Oh and you such post your own thread on this one for everyone to see. For around $20.00 USD, this is the most visually impacting mod in my opinion.
