I've never heard of anyone having problems. Never ordered from there myself though.

There have been some reports, albeit a while ago, that people have been less than thrilled with the customer service there.

I ordered some stuff from them about a year ago and was told it would ship immediately. I called a few days later to check and found out it was on backorder. I was a little miffed, but it happens. I called again after the second promised date and was told it was discontinued. It was one of their own logo T-shirts.

That was my first and last experience with them.

FWIW, I have had very good experiences with

Not a big fan of Cruiser Customizing. I ordered my pipes from them, along with a few other things. Everything shipped in a reasonable amount of time, but they ran my card TWICE. They told me that this was common practice, to put a hold on the card for the purchase price, as well as actually charging the full amount. It was eventually refunded, but had I used a debit account, instead of an actual CC, I would have been getting bounce fees left and right from my bank.

I don't know if this was standard practice, or someone screwed up and they were just covering their rears, but it left a very bad taste in my mouth.

I have used them twice ok i had no problems. My first order had a item that was back order and a item that was is stock, they were holding the total order untill the back order came. I asked them to send the item that they had and they did but the back order came to me about 4 mths later i even forgot about it becouse of winter, but they did not bill me for the back order untill it was shiped. Second time i used them was good normal order

for the most part its been all good over the years for me. but i got in the habit of calling to make sure it is in stock before i order thru the web, THATS a must. They DO though have one of the best sites for reviews, info, etc and their shipping is cheaper than most for items under a buck. Only thing i dont like is if you call for support on your bike you get a bunch of women operators usually(no offense girls) who dont know much about bikes from what ive seen. Never the case if i call PHAT for help.

"to put a hold on the card for the purchase price, as well as actually charging the full amount. "

That's a big no-no. What if you'd bought a $1000 item and had $1500 in your account? They screwed up and didn't want to own up to it.

Dittowise. If both companies above are offering a product for about
the same price, seems as if Motorcycle Superstore is always lower
on shipping chargers or offers free shipping. I also like the product
reviews by buyers from Motorcycle Superstore.

i've never had issues with ordering from them.

don't forget the free keyring (or t-shirt)!!

i don't use them anymore because they're in CA and the extra cost of shipping across the US to get to the UK makes it more expensive for me. So i use MeanCycles cos Florida's closer

Ordered a couple small things - no problem.
Then ordered pipes that were listed as in stock. 8 days later they were still listed as shipment pending. Was eventually told they were on backorder. After a month I called and was told they had just been shipped. Two days later they called me to tell me shipping would be more than they originally quoted me, by 50%. Caller eventually acknowledged that pipes had not been shipped as they had claimed. I told them that I was happy with the original price and intended to honour that mutually agreed upon transaction. Needless to say I didn't get my pipes. Now I just use their site for the reviews, product #'s etc... and purchase elsewhere.

Hi: I bought several items from Cruiser Customizing. I have had good customer service. The items were well packaged, and the items I received were good quality. I will definitely order from them again.

About 80% of my purchases are through cruisercustomizing or phatperformanceparts. Never had a problem with shipping.

It did take a while to get my DG Roadburner pipes correctly. It was a QA issue with DG,and that purchase was through phatperformanceparts. The owner, Terry, shipped me two additional sets. Huge thanks to him.

I bought my Vance & Hines pipes from CruiserCustomizing and had no issues whatsoever.

They had them for the cheapest price I could find on the net, shipped reasonably quickly, and charged my debit card only once.

I'd buy from them again without worry.

Thats what I figured. But to see $1200 billed to my card for a $600 purchase, and then have to wait a week for them to take the extra six bills off really left a sour taste in my mouth. I've been dealing with Phat Performance and Mean Cycles ever since, with no issues. Phat kept me updated every few days by email (without me having to ask) when my parts were on back order, and if they didn't know when to expect something to come into stock, they were straight with me. They'll get my business again for sure.
