Default Risers for a V2K

Being vertically chalenged, I find myself needing risers that will set the bars back a little more.

What is the prefered set-up? Will I need to re-route or replace the cables, wires and brake line? How about the Phats II?

I got some from Scootworks, ended up rerouting the cables. They worked out OK, but it makes it feel even more like your driving a tractor... more comfortable on the long hauls though.

I got the Phat II's on my bike which made the ride much more comfortable. I only had to re-route the clutch cable.

Just the clutch? I was concerned that I'd have to relocate all of 'em.

Only the clutch cable was necessary for me. The brake line was a tad bit tight, but not so tight that I needed to re-route it.

I found the clutch and throttle to be short, so I just moved them all.

That's what I had heard. It shouldn't be too much of a problem to pop the top of the tripple tree and move 'em around.

I sent Scootworks a message about scratch and dent risers yesterday. Word back this morning is no have seconds. Gonna have to get new. Darn, I like saving a few bucks.

Which V2K? The Classic and LT, you're good to go with risers.
For the V2K standard (large headlight), you can't put risers under the cover... ape hangers are the only way to go.

It's a V2K LT. Was just wonderin how involved the swap might be.

Sounds like the Phat II will do the trick!

You will need to be able to get the front of the bike off of the ground. At the time I did not have a proper bike jack, so I used a standard floor jack and 2 stacks of 2x6's. Probably not the safest way but it worked. I also found it useful to hang the bars from the ceiling with some rope while I did the work.
