My Nomads engine is fairly quite until, the gas gauge says 3 bars. Once it gets to 3 bars it starts to make noises, or chatter and it continues gets worse as more and more fuel is used down. Is this the fuel pump doing this or what. thanks.

Most Probably. Mine has been doing it for about 15,000 miles now. When It starts making noise try this. Open the gas cap to vent and pressure. Put your ear to the tank. You should be able to clearly distinguish if it is the pump making noise. As the tank empties it will resonate a little more. I was concerned about mine at first but have grown to accept the whine of the pump. The service tech sez.... don't worry about it. Failures are rare and it could go on making the noise indefinately. That said, mine will probably quit tomorrow. I have 45,000 on mine BTW.
