I sat on a meanie and a 1600 classic at my Kawi dealer a month ago. I shouldn't have done it. Now I want one of each!
The Meanie seating position seems more upright than it did the last time I looked at one, about a year ago. Has this been changed for 2005? Teh brakes also seem to be different on the front. They are now 4 pot units.

As far as the front brake is concerned, I believe they upgraded it to a radial mounted brake (like racing bikes).

The seating position can be altered through backrest, highway pegs, forward controls, risers, seats, and all that fun stuff.
With the meanie you're getting larger throttle bodies, different cam, inverted forks, improved brakes, and more aggressive gearing. The Classic is a really sweet looking bike that's great for cruising. If you can afford one of each- you might as well get the 2000.

And the Meanie comes STANDARD with a comfortable seat! Imagine that. Seems so rare nowadays.
With the seating position a bit forward, you are not as much as a "parachute" to catch the wind at speed.
