Hey, this is alright. Tried going with Emily, but she seems to get REALLY peeved when having to recalculate the route. Can't handle a mate that's THAT put off by serendipity...especially one that's along for a bike ride!
LOL! I've heard that there are some that get exasperated when you make a wrong turn! Nope, couldn't deal with that, ESPECIALLY on the bike!

Garmin Nuvi 760 is not compatible with Scala Q2 Bluetooth headsets. We just bought the Nuvi 760 from Costco today. We tried to pair it with the Scala Q2's without any success. A google search came up with this link that confirms our results: Scala Rider Q2 Headset By Cardo - RevZilla Motorsports

Does that mean mean we have to buy the Zumo or Tomtom Rider II to hear Emily give directions in our headset?

I believe so.

It is correct that the Nuvi series will not TRANSMIT bluetooth... they only function as receivers, IE, they can BECOME a hands-free interface for your phone, but they will not pair with any headset.

You need the Zumo 550 for true Bluetooth capability... Zumo 450 does not have it.

Hey, nothing like learning the same thing the same wrong way. Got the bad news when I brought the Q2 home with me after the bike show. And, apparently it's not an issue with the headsets. The Nolan N-Com helmets also are limited to working with the TomTom Rider, Zumo 550, and an outdated version of another Garmin product. Bummer. Looks like I'll need to find some earpieces that attach with velcro to my helmet and plug the other end of the wire into the headphone socket of the Nuvi. If I keep the Nuvi in my inside jacket pocket, will the humidity from my body cause it to go defunct?

I am thinking about ordering a Garmin nuvi 760 myself... But haven't decided whether or not I want to go with Wal-Mart or Amazon.com. It's only about $13 more at Wal-Mart but I could take advantage of the 12 months no interest if I bought some accessories to go with it to make my purchase over $250.

I want a mount that will allow it to stay securely put on my Yamaha FZ6, but can be easily taken off and used in my car. But when I put my bikes info in on RAM's website, it doesn't really offer many mounting options.

The RAM is an EXTREMELY universal system... A ball attaches to your handelbar, and the rest of the modular components attach to that ball. As long as you have a 1" or 1.25" handlebar to put it on, you are good to go!

Let us know if you need more help with that, but look for the mount for the GPS, not for your bike, and you'll be fine!
