I just bought a new from the showroom floor 2004 1500 classic. Living in Michigan, I didn't exactly want to buy a new bike in December, but I was able to get if for $7,800 plus tax & title, and I got the 5 year warranty for $575. I have a '96 Vulcan VN1500A that my wife and I like to ride. Looking at the MOM the max load on the bike is 400lbs. I hate to admit this but my wife and I pass that load by 100Lbs. What can I do to strengthen the suspension short of going on a diet? Thanks for the help.

For all you 800 classic owners with them lovely spoke rims, what is the best way to clean the rims and around the chain. I was thinking of simple green as a degreaser but is there any trick to cleaning around the spokes? Thanks for any tips! LJ
