I just bought a new from the showroom floor 2004 1500 classic. Living in Michigan, I didn't exactly want to buy a new bike in December, but I was able to get if for $7,800 plus tax & title, and I got the 5 year warranty for $575. I also got the standard 10% of all accessories (now just kawasaki)...
Need some advice, I have a nice set of Willie & Max Slant style bags, but I now see the need for a set that is removable. without having to take the seats off, Any recommendations? can't afford any big $$ but 200 or less might be ok Thanks Dave
I have an 04 800 Classic that is extremly cold blooded. I have to ride it a good 15 to 20 min with full choke before I can put the choke in. I am taking it in tomorrow for my first 500 mile service. Should I let them know about it. Is it a concern? Did gutting my tailpipes make a difference, like...
I have a '96 Vulcan VN1500A that my wife and I like to ride. Looking at the MOM the max load on the bike is 400lbs. I hate to admit this but my wife and I pass that load by 100Lbs. What can I do to strengthen the suspension short of going on a diet? Thanks for the help.
I have an 800A and my best friend, Scott, bought a 800B. We ride together all of the time. Charlotte (my bike) loves to meander the back twisties and I'm well known for staying off of the beaten path. "If there aren't curves, what are we doing here?". Scott, on the other hand, prefers...
Good day I live in Houston and previously owned a 1200s Bandit, and now own a V-Strom 1000. I have been bitten by the cruiser bug and have become very interested in the Mean Streak. It look like my buget will only allow for an early model and I have several questions, if you please. -...
For all you 800 classic owners with them lovely spoke rims, what is the best way to clean the rims and around the chain. I was thinking of simple green as a degreaser but is there any trick to cleaning around the spokes? Thanks for any tips! LJ
New guy here. I'm going to put a down payment on a 2004 Nomad in the next week or so and I'm not sure about the color. I want the Metalic Dark Bronze, I think, but I haven't found a picture of one anywhere on the net. In Kawasaki's brochure and on the Kawasaki motorcycle site it looks black. I...
Has anyone relocated the Tac/speedo to top of H bars on the Meany? Thanks, MOF

Until today, the coldest weather I'd ever ridden in was 36 degrees. This morning I was really undecided about whether to ride to work. Although it's supposed to get up to 48 today, it was only 23 degrees when I was contemplating what to do. I finally decided to drive and headed out to the car. But...
Does the rev limit change when you re-mapp? Meanies tap out at 6rs, I was wondering is anyone getting more and how with out granading the motor.

Lots of folks may already have one of these, but I just picked up a new battery charger/maintainer for the 800. It's a neat little unit from Sears that lets you use either the standard clamps, or a permanent plug that attaches to the battery with the bike's cables. My old one didn't have the...
Anybody have the same combo out there? I had mine mapped/dynoed at a local dealer and it runs good, but I have to adjust it frequently. My only problem is if I just give it a little throttle from "0". I checked out the mapping on my laptop and it is quite a bit different from anything posted on the...
I want to get a new seat for my 800. Need opinions on Mustang or Corbin. Thanks. bluestringer

I bought some fuel stabilizer today for my bike. It's garaged 24x7, but it gets damned cold in that garage. I plan to ride throughout the winter whenever it's 40 degrees or warmer, but I can't anticipate how long it might have to sit inbetween rides, so I thought it would be good to keep the...
