This Sticky is for specific questions, concerns and feedback pertaining to the the Vulcan 500, 750 and 800 Models.
This Sticky is for specific questions, concerns and feedback pertaining to the the Vulcan 1500, 1600 and 2000 Models.
This thread was created to consolidate and share information on this seemingly common issue. Please feel free to add any pertinant information, or pictures and schematics that may help other Vulcan riders find and repair these coolant leaks. It seems apparant that many Vulcan cruisers have...

Yesterday I rode from Vancouver to Whistler via the Sea to Sky Highway, 250 kilometer round trip. For the past three years I have been using a HJC 3/4 helmet. My bike has a windshield and lowers, but I have not been able to eliminate helmet buffeting. When I got home from the ride I had a major...
Anyone in the area that wants to hook-up for a ride before the weather turns on us.
BikernetMetricNews: D&D Slip-ons for Kawasaki Vulcan and Nomad (http://bikernetmetricnews.blogspot.com/2009/09/d-slip-ons-for-kawasaki-vulcan-and.html) Never heard of D&D, but these look pretty sharp.
Guys, Have a windshield I am about to put on E-bay. I was going to give the forum first crack before I post it. Comes with all the hardware except the two fork screws. No cracks, scratches or breaks and all the hardware is chrome. PM me if interested. I won't post on Ebay until next Friday or no...
Just wondering if anyone with a 1700 Nomad has drilled any holes in their exhaust yet?? I'm ready to try just wondering if anyone had done one yet. Cheers!
I have used Sylvania Silverstars in my cages before and have been very happy with them. They are extremely bright and white compared to stock lights. I currently have Wagners in my cages because they were cheaper than the Sylvanias. I read some reviews on the Silverstar Ultras and they...
I know this has probably been asked a million times. Can you use the Scootworks front O/D pulley (on order!) and a 200 rear tire?
OK, I know this may sound dumb but here goes. I am getting ready to change the oil in my 2000 1500 classic. We are in the process of moving and I can't find my shop manual. Does anyone know how many quarts this engine takes? I can't seem to remember. Thanks
I just hated the fact that such a great bike couldn't have a working speedo (about 8-9% off) or a first gear. The choices for making a change were the euro's or pulleys or tires. I chose the euros first. Huge difference on first gear, some change in speedo for the better. By the way I have no GPS...
Im currently running the stock 900C drag bars with the scootworks risers......im looking for something with similar pullback and rise dimensions (with slightly more pullback)...i just want the bars to be thicker to give it a beefier look up front.........i was thinking about these........... Wild...
Ok, I am looking for a fuel management. And was wondering what you all think. The PC is a bit higher cost about $100 than the FI2000R, but is there that much difference or are you paying for something your not going to use anyway. And does the fact that the PC works through the ECU and the FI2000R...
About 2/3 of the time I am having trouble down shifting. If I am not running hard or out on the road & I am having a hard time getting it to down shift there is nothing there when I try to shift. I have had to start out in 3-4 gear a few times. I don't think that it is the clutch but it will...
I am thinking of getting rid of my 07 vn900 classic (sad but true) and buying a new vn1700 classic. just wondering if anyone on the forum has one and what feedback can you give me. they are still a little scarce down under
Hi all, Do you suggest that the first service be specifically done by the kawi dealer or can it be done by any motorcycle service shop? The dealer where I purchased the bike is asking for $300 which I think is ludicrous considering independent shops are charging less than half that amount....
I have V&H Slashcut Staggereds on my 900 Custom. I decided to take the baffles out just to see how loud they are. HOLY WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION ! TOO LOUD ! But, heres my delim...dellim...here's my problem. I like loud. Just not that loud. My question is: has anyone done any mods to the...
Hey all you misfits. Yes, I am making a rare appearance on the boards. So, anyone else going? Mike, Jeffrey, Steve, all of you should be ashamed. Get back to the place that counts and post some pics!!!!
http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/forum/kawasaki-cruisers/116871-my-metzler-blistered.html Went to my local motorcycle tire shop today to get a new tire put on, this is not where I got the original, {it came from American Motorcycle Tire.com}, the guy there said that blisters like that are...
It was first noticed a few days ago so today I had the time to take the bike apart and check nuts and bolts, The first discovery was that the right rear guard was rubbing against the hard back and had done some damage. All of that has been corrected including the damage. Then we went on a 60 mile...
Installed risers and a throttle lock on my bike (vulcan 900). Now my bike will not start in 1st gear (but it will in neutral)? The cables may have stretched (fixed this by re-routing cables). My Ignition box was apart during the throttle lock install. During the riser install and after I turned the...
