I have to tell ya, they really don't make aftermarket parts any more for our old bikes, but if you see any, let me know!

    Call sidewinder.

They cost a little more, but outlast the others 10 to 1.

Best sprockets and chains made.....In fact if you do not agree, they will return your money with a return of product....Lets see anyone else offer that kind of customer satisfaction.

I will not ride a dirt bike without sidewinders on it, they are that good !

Krause Racing's Sidewinder Sprockets Motorcycle Sprockets and Chain or call them at 630-513-1000

tell ya what if you buy sidewinders, and try them for 2 weeks, if you do not think they are the best, i will buy them from you full price, you pay just the shipping to me.

No i don't work for them, or get kickbacks, but have ridden for 30 years, and know what works, and what does not.

It pays off if you plan to keep the bike.
    They are guaranteed for life.

I finally wore a set out after 5 years of total abuse and neglect....They replaced them for free under the lifetime warranty agreement they have.

Swingarm bearings are a snap and I would not pay anyone to do it if you are a little handy. Don't loose the swing arm cap's (I believe there are 4 of them on that bike and they are on both sides of both bearings). Trying to find them are tougher than the bearings.

Bearings are available. I just picked up a set for my 86 Kx125 on ebay for $16 bucks. Make yourself a little press and have some heat available if they are originals, but it's an easy job.

u say make ur self a press? i do need to replace those bearings and would rather doit myself. i live in a small town outside of pittsburgh, the one bike that is around here has takin over two months to re-sleeve my cylinder and order me new pistons. the bad thing is he has already been paid

    Default Poor Man's Bearing Press

Here's what I did and not to take credit for as it came from: Published by nscmj3 11-04-2006 :

No way I'm gonna pay $89.99 for a stupid piece of all thread and washers to press bearings into the swingarm. Here's a cheaper way that worked just as good.

Buy a 12" piece of 3/8" all thread, some 1 1/2 washers, 2 nuts, and the appropriate size socket (19mm for a honda xr400.)

I put a mark on the socket for the appropriate depth to press the bearing. (5.5mm in this case.) Make sure the socket is lined up, and start cranking on each nut!

That's all there is to it! i pressed all 4 swingarm bearings in about 45 minutes. No freezing, heating, or even greasing/lubing! And the best part is...I can spend my $90 on something else!!

No Prob! I used a little heat on the swingarm as my bike was an '86 and had the original bearings in them. It helped considerably with the heat and a little WD40. Should take about 10 minutes to do both.
