Default Front brake master cyclinder 1987 kx 125

I just recently purchased a 1987 kawasaki from a buddy of mine and he said he rebuilt the front master cyclinder but could not get it to work! I tried to bleed the cyclinder as the book said to but have had no luck! I also took apart the master cyclinder to see if I could find anyhthing wrong with it and cannot find anything wrong at all! has anyone else had this problem after they rebuilt the master? Any suggestions before I buy another one!?

What do you mean by "does not work"? What "exactly" was done by your friend and why did he do it? What were the symtoms?

My friend rebuilt the master cyclinder with a rebuild kit ! The reason that he rebuilt it in the first place was that he was getting no fluid or pressure to the caliper,
I tried bleeding the master first but had no luck getting fluid to flow threw the master cyclinder

I have to be clear on this. If you open the caliper bleed screw, pull on the handle, no fluid comes out? If no, try removing the brake line and try again to see if fluid comes out the brake line. On both tests, pull gently so that you don't risk a brake fluid shampoo. If still no, usually the flexable caliper line connects to a steel line that goes up the forks. If so, crack the fitting and check for fluid. Keep going up until you are at the master cylinder itself if no to previous tests. Post back with results. Caution: brake fluid strips paint clean off so catch any that gets loose from the system. I have to assume that the master cylinder was rebuilt because there were no front brakes?
