Question HELP ME PLEASE 1993 KX125 problem

Hi to everyone i'm new to the forum but pls dont hold it against me,i've just got my hands on a 93 kx 125 for a bit of fun it was a none runner but i got it going after a bit of messing about, now my problem is that wen i rev the throttle the transmission oil is bubbling i thought it was maybe water getting in but wen i drained the oil out it smelt of petrol so wher is the petrol coming from? and why is it bubbling? PLEASE HELP

I would guess there is a leak between the case halves in the area around the crankcase.

Do a pressure test and a vacuum test.

If your transmission oil is milky white, then the coolant is leaking into it, usually due to a worn seal on the impeller shaft.

but i dont think its coolant that has mixed with the oil as i said it smells like petrol but i cant think how it has got into the transmission?

bad seal between crankcase and trans ... time to pull it down and reseal it all....just be happy it went that way and not the other (sucking oil or water getting in)

thanks for the advice, just wondered is there a transmission breather pipe on the 93 kx 125?

yes there is a breather it should be just underneath the reed block,a little plastic elbow,if this is blocked it will pressure the gearbox blowing oil out of any seal thats weak

i recently bought a full gasket set and oil seal set for £44 from the uk and that included posting to australia! its easier to get stuff from uk than it is out here!

the seals are cheap just depends on which one you need to replace as to how much work its gonna be to do
