what year kx85 cylinder ??

i have a kx85 cylinder without the breather hole on powervalve,how does one tell what year it is,is there numbers on it some where, i think it is a 05 or older but not sure. will it work on a 07 engine?? thanks skip

Yes it is a 2005 or older cylinder. As long as it is a power valve equipped cylinder and not an old kx80 cylinder, then yes, it will work on a 2007. Trust me you will not notice the missing vent hole.

thanks for the reply, i got a very good deal on a p.c. ported cylinder , but i was told that the porting differt in the 05 and older and it would not work on a 07, i can add the breather hole by drilling, but want to make sure that port timing will work with the 07 bottom end, thanks skip
