Just was wanting to know when spraying oil on the air filter do you spray it on both filters or just the outer one ?

Wow. Are you just now getting to cleaning the air filter on these bikes??

Spray it all over. Use too much, then wrap it in paper towels and squeeze out the extra.

What he said.

Be sure to use a proper oil for the job.
And clean and reoil regularly.
I do my KX250 airfilter after every ride.

My bike doesn't have the airfilter.
So to compensate I took a tuppleware bowl. like one of those little clear bowls with a rubber lid, and heated up a drill bit and poked big holes in the lid, and the opposite side I made a hole the size of the opening for the carb. Cut some foam from a bigger filter I found at autozone and put it in the tuppleware bowl. All I need is to make sure I don't get big globs of mud, dirt, and nastyness in my carb. It works quite well. But would appreciate an airbox for an '82 kawasaki KDX80 if anyone has one, or just an airbox in general that would fit if anyone has one.

Are you playing a "will it blow up before I buy an airbox" game??

See if this one is the same, by using the Kawasaki.com parts diagrams.

You can buy a UNI POD filter that attaches directly to the carb. That's what I use.
