2006 KX250 Project

Currently waiting for a few more tools to arrive so I can complete my engine/transmission rebuild, and I'm considering whether to get the frame polished or painted while the bike is stripped down. There's new plastics and graphics to go on as the finishing touch.

Here's a few photos of whats done so far, some good and some not so good sights. The reason for rebuilding is a shattered piston skirt.

Images show random serviceable or modified parts changes, and general build progress.

Throttle Replacement

Clutch Upgrade

Trying out a Mitaka billet clutch basket and one of their performance clutch sets. The most obvious difference in the basket to OEM is the lighter weight of the Mitaka and the Mitaka's design to enhance oil flow.

More images to come.

Nice! I'll post some updates this week. I have posted for a while because I've been so busy with work.

Definitely keep at it. I just found a split in one of my rims - so that has put me behind schedule again. I've ordered a set from the guys at Warp9. They've given a great service! It made up for how upset I was learning my rim was busted Lol
