KX250 Year Model

I just bought a used kx250 and was told it was a 1998 model. Anyone know the code to figure it out from the vin?

goto the kawasaki web site find the warranty page to check the waranty status,,ofcourse its not going to have a warranty but it will spit out the year and spec page threw acrobat reader.i did thats how i figured out the true year of my bike,,

That is a great suggestion. Also, the tenth digit is the year code. Check Google for (year code VIN chart) or something like that, and it will show a chart on someone's page, and you can compare.

If it's a 1998 the 10th digit in VIN will be a 'W'. 97 = V, 99 = Y.
