Post '04 KX85 and KX65 too rich

A buddy of mine has a '04 KX85 and 65. He told me they don't start and so i took a look at them. We were finally able to start the 65 and a large white cloud of smoke rose from the exhaust. I asked him what mix he was runnin and he replyed, "i dunno i put the gas for the 85 in here." I know that the two premixes are about the same but could this be why it isnt starting or do we need to adjust something else. This same thing happend to me on my Yamaha YZ 85 and I just had to free the carburator float. Any suggestions? We havent tryed the 85 yet but i hope that we dont have to do as much as i think we need to on the 65 cuz i have a feelin im gonna be the one doin it.
